Belgium / Holland

When:    July 1995 and July 2000

How Long:     1 week

Background: The first time I was in Low Countries, I spent a week up there touring the EU and NATO offices as part of our studies in Brussels Belgium.  We then spent a quick weekend in Amsterdam.  Last year, for work , I got to return to Amsterdam for a week on business.  Amsterdam has to be the most hedonistic city in the world, anything can be bought there, legal or not! But despite that, it is a very clean city with beautiful canals.

Brussels: This is the famous "Mannequin Pis" yes the one and only statue of a little boy going to the bathroom.  People actually travel to see this thing.

If you go the Amsterdam, you MUST go the Heineken brewery.  After the tour its is all you can drink, for free, for one hour.

Some of my business companions as we "work"

We stayed in this town in Holland called Amersfoort, which is surrounded by a medieval wall.

During our 'work' we took a canal tour of the city on this boat.
